RE ; 2011 YOUTH CONFERENCE&UPDATES
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.
We are writing to encourage and inform you about a few details below
2010 YOUTH CONFERENCE
On our January meeting we agreed that this year’s conference will be at Biriri High School and starts on the 20th-24th of April(from Wednesday evening to Sunday morning), the National Youth Assembly is there on the 19th of April(TUESDAY)from 5pm and as usual, we expect delegates from every church, with district committee members-as on our constitution(delegates should be 2 youths from each local church,one from each preaching point and all district committee members) and please bring 30 copies of your district reports.
The guest speaker this year is Rev J Mazorodze, our National Youth Director-lets pray for him.
Please also be advised that there is a week of fasting from 10-16April 2011,let us pray and fast for our youth department i.e the success of our Conference and Youth Projects, all youths are encouraged to be fasting this week.
Food pledges
We are again encouraging that district committees help us ask for food pledges for the conference, we have attached the list of some of the major food items that we need for the conference.You may send us a list of any pledged items by the 30th of March-should there be any-some districts always do a lot there-may God bless you so much
Contributory Fee
Contribution fee for this conference is 5us$(50rands). All youths will be allocated rooms and get food after paying these fees-we suggest that the district committees collect these monies before the conference, we will hand the district committees meal tickets for the moneys received before the conference starts-this will save you time when you come on the 21st.
Music Competitions
We have given all the interested districts the set-piece and we also organized a coaching clinic for them, thank you so much for attending. Our coach on the January meeting will also be our adjudicator-like the last 2years.
We also thank Baba G Kombo, Bhaffaloe Hardware MD, for the support that he renders to us through sponsoring the music competitions-great that he is also our National Father Advisor now. Lets pray for Bhafaloe Hardware-such generosity is really to be appreciated by us.

We also agreed on our January meeting with all districts present that at the 2011 youth conference we presents to our Youth Director(Rev Mazorodze), we are going to include that in our conference programme just like last year, all districts will get at least 2minutes for them to present their present and a brief speech to our Youth Director-lets arrange presents as individuals and districts for the Youth Director, may we also try our best as a district-we all know how he works so hard for UBCYF
BUDGETS
Please may we all pay our budgets every month-a good idea in paying up budgets is to pay the monthly allocation to NYEC every month rather than trying to work so hard the last two months-please may all district committees fundraise through budget allocations to locals and other fundraising strategies/activities. We applaud Harare South for having paid a higher % of their allocated budget this year than any district.

We have managed to gather nearly half of the money needed for the PA system-we are buying the equipment that the money available can buy-we will be having them by the next conference.

We thank God for the hard work that the youth centre committee(led by bro Ammial Manyumbu)is doing towards the youth centre. We are also reminding you about what we agreed that every youth in UBCYF pays $2 towards the youth centre-may all district committees submit the money to bro Content(Treasurer) by the 19th of April. The idea came from you(delegates)on the last National Assembly(April 2010) and all who were present agreed that this was going to be implemented in our various districts.
Nominees
As we may be aware, Sister Inah Timire married brother Nunurai Mungana, their wedding was in October 2010-we thank God for their wedding-they set an example to us. Sister Rose Rutanhira is also wedding brother Matokwe on the 30th of April. These two have faithfully served in the NYEC for the past 3 years. We are asking for two nominees per district to fill the post of National Youth Committee members-the nominees should be chosen by the districts and signed for by the District Advisors and the DS, without those signatures they will not be accepted-elections will be done on the April youth assembly.
We thank you so much for your cooperation and commitment-may we as youth live an exemplary life in our speech, love, conduct, purity and faith in all that we do in our districts
